Are there any differences between the Annual and Monthly membership options?

Um, no. The only differences between the plans are the total amount paid and flexibility. No member is treated differently from any other, and your choice of plan is totally your choice.

What if I change my mind after joining?

As with all companies of our kind you are legally protected by the distance selling act, so we have to adhere to those regulations. Effectively, if you decide to cancel after a few weeks after you’ve joined, you can, and we’ll refund the money. You can also switch plans too if suddenly the worst happens – it is rare, but we have done it.

If I decide to cancel am I tied into a long contract?

No. All we ask is for you to give us a little prior notice before your next payment going out, so we can cancel everything at our end.

Can I start off as a monthly member and change later?

Sure, in fact that is one of the reasons we created the month-to-month option, as a dip your toe in the water kind of approach. It’s important to us that you get as good value as possible, so if you would like to save a few sheckles once we’ve proven our worth, that’s good with us.

Let’s keep things simple

Don’t you just hate it when things are complicated? Too many variables, too many options and too many choices. Well, we found that too.

So in 2023 we decided to make things really, really easy and only have one membership.

Regardless of company size, structure, location, or need – one membership to cover them all. Your only decision is whether you’d prefer to save a little money by opting for the Annual membership, or choose the flexibility of the Month-to-Month option.

(where there is genuinely no contract).

There are no hidden costs, no “extra’s”, and no differences between the options other than the total paid and the flexibility given.

In fact, the only thing you’ll ever pay extra for is when we have an event involving food – and that’s pretty fair, we think.

Which membership is best for me?

Honestly, we have no idea. It all comes down to your preference – but talk to us, and we can find out which is best for you.

Here’s our take on your options.

The current trend is that new members prefer the Monthly membership option. Speaking to members, their reasons vary from managing cash flow, having the ability to dip their toe in the water (so to speak) to make sure YBW or even simply having the flexibility should the worst happen.

But, speaking to the members joining Annually, their choice is made normally as there is a sizable money saving, that they’re committing to a year and that phycological decision commits them to taking action, and that their cash flow is sometimes seasonal – so they don’t have to worry about another bill in 6 months time.

From our perspective – it doesn’t matter.

Apart from how you pay there is genuinely no difference in the memberships, and from a business perspective, it’s good to have a variation.

Pricing FAQ

This is a ridiculously low cost for whats offered – how can you make any money?

This is a great question, that is asked from time to time.

In reality, our business model is quite unusual.

For most businesses, costs increase with size. The bigger the business, the more stock or product they require, or the more people they need. That isn’t the case with us, with the majority of our costs staying the same.

For instance, the cost of running this website will be the same if we had 1 member or 10,000 members. Coupled with running a very lean ship and the clever use of automation where possible, it means we can pass those savings on to our members.

But also our aim was never to maximise our income – we wanted to create a membership that is affordable by the everyday business owner.

Sounds strange, but it’s true – if we charged market value for our services, many of the smaller businesses simply couldn’t afford it. So we keep our prices as low as we possibly can.

There is another fact to remember – a lot of £25’s soon add up!!

Why is there as price difference between the Annual and Monthly memberships if their is no difference in the membership itself?

Two main reasons – the cost of processing the payment/membership and the benefit of not being tied in. Many people don’t know, but when taking payments by card or direct debit, there are two charges – a percentage of the fee and a fixed charge. Monthly, there are 11 more fixed charges to take into consideration.

But that cost is insignificant compared to the extra admin requirements from YBW HQ – just think of 11 times more bookkeeping.

Ouch…

The other reason is the price of that flexibility.

Genuinely, there are no tie-ins at the YBW, and therefore new members get hundreds of pounds of value instantly.

For instance, many members choose to have a session with our founder early in their membership to help with their sales processes, getting to market etc. That is a minimum of a 2-hour session which would easily retail at £250+. But that is provided completely free of charge to members.

In theory, someone could join for a month, get access to all our support, all of our benefits and leave after a month – it’s not fair, but it’s possible, and does happen from time to time.

That’s the risk we take.

Can I try before I buy?

We don’t currently have a “try before you buy scheme”.

Are all your events included in your membership fee?

Mostly yes. That includes online, in-person and hybrid events.

The only time there would be an additional charge is when food is involved at an in-person breakfast event, for instance, or at events such as our Christmas Party.

But they’re charged pretty much at cost.
